On March 30, 2021, Japan’s Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare announced revisions to Japan’s maximum residue levels for 13 agricultural chemicals (Tolfenpyrad, Fenquinotrione, Flazasulfuron, Cypermethrin, Isometamidium, Eugenol, Chlorhexidine, Decoquinate, Nafcillin, Nitroxinil, Virginiamycin, Mecillinam, and Menbutone) for various agricultural commodities. Interested U.S. parties are encouraged to submit their comments to PlantDivision@usda.gov by April 9, 2021. Japan will subsequently notify these MRL revisions to the World Trade Organization, which will provide another opportunity to comment.
